About the Right to Information
The Right to Information empowers every citizen to seek information held by a public authority, promoting transparency and accountability in its working. The State Housing Board proactively discloses information under Section 4(1)(b) and processes applications filed by citizens through its designated Public Information Officers.
A citizen may file an application in writing or electronically, along with the prescribed fee, to the concerned Public Information Officer. Where a citizen is not satisfied with the response, an appeal may be preferred before the designated Appellate Authority within the stipulated period. Requests may be filed with the Public Information Officer.
