Overview

The following procedures and terms govern registration for and allotment of properties offered by the Tamil Nadu Housing Board. Applicants are advised to read them carefully before submitting an application. Terms and Conditions

  1. Applicants must be citizens of the country and should have attained the age of eighteen years as on the date of application. One applicant may hold only one active application per scheme.
  2. All particulars furnished in the application - including name, address, income and identity details - must be true and complete. Suppression or misrepresentation of facts renders the application liable to rejection at any stage.
  3. Registration under a scheme does not by itself confer any right to allotment. Allotment is subject to availability of units, the outcome of the lottery where applicable, and compliance with all scheme conditions.
  4. The prescribed registration fee, once remitted, is non-refundable except where an application is not considered for reasons attributable solely to the Board.
  5. Where allotment is decided by lottery, the draw shall be conducted in a transparent manner and its result shall be final and binding on all applicants.
  6. A successful allottee shall remit the demanded amounts within the periods notified in the allotment order. Failure to pay within the stipulated time may lead to cancellation and forfeiture as per the rules.
  7. The property shall be used only for the purpose for which it is allotted. Unauthorised construction, alteration, sub-letting or transfer within the lock-in period is prohibited.
  8. The Board reserves the right to add to, alter or amend these terms and conditions, and to withdraw or reschedule any scheme, without assigning any reason. All disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts at the Board headquarters.
